Bring harmony back into your home.

Alyson Gamache, CHILD & Individual THERAPIST IN spokane, wa.

What it’s like to work with me.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with Master’s in Social Work, Child Development and in Education. I care deeply about the clients I work with, honoring their stories and their innate motivation toward a healthier, more functional life/family.

I work with children of all ages, parents with or without their children, and individual adults. I primarily utilize attachment, object relations and relational theories, as well as family systems. I also regularly utilize relational neurosciences and nervous system regulation in my work.

My approach is influenced by research that indicates the importance of relationships upon the formation of one's personality. I believe the most important work in a clinical relationship begins with a relationship between myself and the client (you, your child, your family).

A little about me.

I’ve been in private practice since 2017 and love working within our wonderful Spokane community. I was raised in central Washington, went to Gonzaga University, left for graduate school, and now have been back in Spokane since 2013. I’ve been married to my husband for 9 years. I love being outside, whether it’s skiing or by the water, cooking, catching up with dear friends, traveling, reading, and learning more about myself. We’re in the thick of parenting chasing around our 1 and 4 year olds!

I look forward to connecting with you and seeing if we are a good fit as you move forward in your journey.

MY GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Compassion.

I’m dedicated to a space that holds empathy and compassion for your experience and allows you to embody more love and understanding for yourself.

Safety.

Everyone deserves a space without judgement, free to come as you are, to explore and reflect on who you are, and to change and grow.

Trust.

I am honored to start building a relationship with trust as the foundation of our work together.

Play.

“Play is the work of children”, Jean Piaget. I utilize play in session to build a relationship with your child as well as to help navigate through difficult topics.
