Parent Coaching: In-Person in Washington, Online Nation-Wide
Being a parent in today’s world is tough.
Every where you turn there is advice about what to do or not do in regards to your kids. How do you know what will work for your family? You may come from a home where you don’t want to repeat anything your parents did - but where do you even start? Maybe you like some of the things your parents did and some things you’d life to shift. Perhaps you and your partner are not on the same page about how to move forward in the parenting world.
Maybe you’re noticing:
more frequent yelling at your kids
less peace in the home
not as much joy or delight as you believe their could be in parenting
feeling anxious about how to navigate your children’s growing worlds
You don’t have to figure out how to do it all on your own.
I am a registered Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator as well as a Circle of Security Intensive Provider and COS -Intensive Supervisor in training.
Circle of Security Parenting can help parents become more attuned to their children’s needs while helping to support the big emotions that come up in every day life.

I am a Raising Kids with Big, Baffling Behaviors Course Facilitator. The Course was developed by Robyn Gobbel and offers a new lens for our children’s behaviors.
This offering is the outgrowth of an immersive yearlong parent coaching training program I participated in throughout 2024. This material is grounded in relational neuroscience.
The three core tenets of Raising Kids with Big, Baffling Behaviors: A Course for Parents, are:
Behavior is just a clue. It’s what we see on the outside that gives us some information about what might be happening on the inside.
We all need connection to survive. If your child is behaving in a way that makes us not want to be connected to them, we can pause and ask “What’s up with that?”
Regulated, connected kids who feel safe, behave well. We will look for ways to increase regulation, connection, and felt-safety.
You are a wonderful, capable parent.
I’M HERE TO SUPPORT YOU IN EMBRACING THAT.

Therapy with parents often focuses on emotional challenges and brings up parenting struggles with much of the focus being on what’s underlying those struggles. There is little difference between typical therapy and therapy for parents outside of a larger focus on parenting (if the client desires this).
Parent coaching is more goal oriented and specific in helping parents develop and find tools and strategies within their everyday parenting struggles. Often, parent coaching leads to therapy as more of the underlying struggles come into focus. If you are out of WA state I can not offer therapy, however, I can set up parent coaching sessions which will revolve around more parent psycho-ed.
